Awesome dynamo light, November 9, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Planet Bike Blaze Dynamo Headlight - 1watt (Sports) Unlike some of the other reviewers, I found this item top-notch all around. I do agree that more mounting options would be nice, but I just mounted a short amount of old seatpost tubing on my fork crown and it works great. The light is bright, high quality, has all the options I want (flashing, capacitor supply while stopped) and I have no problem with the mounting bracket which is adjustable with "clicks" for smaller handlebars.
The bottom line is that all the other high-intensity LED dynamo lights that meet this spec cost 3 times or more what this light does and don't offer any additional value. What's not to like?

Great light, better customer service, January 9, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Planet Bike Blaze Dynamo Headlight - 1watt (Misc.) I bought this light and it was working great for me until I dropped it by accident. I was disappointed that it stopped working after that. It wasn't a particularly hard fall, seemed like the kind of thing that could happen to anyone while unmounting it. I sent an email to the company and they quickly replied with an RA# and told me they would inspect it and if warranted send me a new light. A week later a new light showed up to me! great customer service!
Regarding the light, the beam is quite bright for my commuting purposes and the superflash mode is excellent, I can see if reflecting off street signs 10+ blocks in front of me here in NYC. the quick release mount isn't the best, it does have a tendency to kind of want to flip open so you've got to keep an eye on it but i've never had any problems with the light shifting out of position when hitting potholes or anything.

Doesn't have a capasiter to store power for when you stop like more expensive ones which is a bummer but for the price it is a good light. I recommend it if your on a budget but if not, get a more expensive German approved light like the ones from B&M. Google B&M dyno light or go to Peter White Cycles and learn all you need to know about Dyno hubs and lights.
