If your tire isnt flush against the drum the resistance knob doesnt do anything. This is a solid trainer for those who arent looking for any bells or whistles or dont want to commit hundreds of dollars to a trainer. Im using it for Triathlon training, it fits well in our tiny 1 bedroom.
