Once my old grips were removed, these were very easy to install. You need to measure/mark 136mm from the end of the bar in, so the new grips are installed to the proper depth. The new grips slid on without too much force, and once I adjusted the angle of the grip and angle of the bar end (adjust independantly of one another), one allen bolt gets tightened to lock the whole thing down.
I wear size large gloves, and the size large grips are a great fit for my hands, nice firm support with just a touch of cushion, and the composite bar ends also have rubber inserts for comfort and extra gripping power. The ergon website says these are mainly for Mtn. Biking, but they work great form my mostly on-road hybrid.
These grips are really worth $50!

I decided to try their grips as I found my hands getting numb on every ride. I am very glad that I did as I am extremely happy with their performance. They are very confortable and do exaclty as promised. I now no longer get numb hands on rides and find the extensions on the ends fantastic as they provides 2 additional hand positions while riding. Climbing is also easier as you can increase the leverage when out of the saddle by using the extensions. They also allow you to hold a more aerodynamic position while seated, especially on long flat sections. Overall, I think these grips are a really worthwhile investment if you are a regular rider. Worth the Money, May 21, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Ergon GS3 Leichtbau Bicycle Handlebar Grip (Sports) As somebody else said, yes, it is $50 for a pair of grips and, yes, they are actually worth it. Had to blow the grips on using compressed air, and the bar end clamping system really works well, holding up to serious reefing while climbing and not rotating on the handlebar. My only negative comment (thus the 4 star review) is that the bar end plastic is fairly soft and easily marred if one is too cavalier about lying the bike down on pavement e.g. Just be a little careful.
