The only issue we have is that our little one easily manages to wiggle her right foot free (pretty sure she could wiggle the left foot out too, but she doesn't seem to care about the left). We've tried make it tighter and looser, but she always manages to wiggle her right foot out. However, since she only seems to be interested in putting it on the black bar, and there's no physical way for her to put it into the wheel/spokes, we've decided to just let her be (footloose!).
Our biggest concern was that she wouldn't be able to see with me blocking her view. But luckily her head and neck aren't fixed in place and she quickly figured out that she can just turn her head if she doesn't want to stare at my backside. I essentially serve as a windbreak; and since I can't see her, I'm not tempted to look at her instead of the road or traffic while riding.

Bellelli Pepe is a winner, June 2, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Bellelli Pepe Standard Fit Baby Carrier (Blue/Red, 50-Pound) (Sports) This is the 3rd attempt to find a seat that fits on my wife's mountain bike. Alas, this too fails. I wish the product descriptions would give more input on what might prevent the item from working on some bikes. At 5'3", her bike has a small frame. There is not enough space to mount this on the seat tube (which is where it mounts on my bike). Also, there is a shifter cable running down the seat tube, which restricts us from mounting it below the bikes top tube. I can't fault the seat because it doesn't fit her bike, but clearly it wouldn't take much effort (and a ruler) to inform the consumer how much space they need to mount this properly.
Moving on, this seat is rated at 50 lbs, but I had my concerns when ordering this version rather than the one that mounts on a rear bike rack (which would have added another $20-$30 since I don't have a rack on my bike). Seems really solid on the bike and there is no visible flexing of the seat support arms with my son in the seat... Read more
