Weight weight don't tell me..., June 28, 2011 By palmerdle "donlaforet" (bay area) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: WTB Rocket V SLT Bicycle Saddle (Titanium Rails) (Sports) This is my third Rocket V because it is an unbelievably comfortable saddle and first SLT titanium which I purchased (it now turns out, falsely) anticipating a few grams weight savings. This saddle was said to weigh 195 as opposed to 240 for the vanadium rails. Don't believe it. I checked both during the installation and found that they weighed the same: 240 grams.
All this fussing aside, the leather is more comfortable than the synthetic faux carbon fiber surface of the one it replaced. It became even more plush after a month or so of riding and feels way better than its predecessor; it disappears beneath you. So I'd say it's worth the extra $$$s even without the hinted weight savings.
